This self-paced on-line course looks at how an interactive whiteboard functions, the various whiteboard options available and its potential to revolutionise classroom teaching. Teachers will have an opportunity to engage with exciting dynamic interactive whiteboard content in order to appreciate the potential of this powerful technology to enliven & enhance classroom lessons, especially in the areas of literacy, mathematics, S.E.S.E. and the arts. Interactive Whiteboards will be examined as a valuable part of the technology mix in a technology promoting school.

The on-line format of the course enables you to study when and where you want to learn. Content is divided into 5 modules which you can complete in any order within an 8 week period (1st July to 22nd August 2009).

Participants are encouraged to interact with one another using the communication tools (forum, chat, e-mail) provided by the CPD College learning system. Active facilitation throughout the course provides expert interaction, guidance and feedback for all participants. Assignments and questions which call for critical reflection, self-analysis and a reasoned response punctuate this highly interactive web based course.

On completion of the course the participant will be presented with their own time record, excercise content and approval by the course facilitator as their CPD record to keep.
